 Prajodhana NSS Camp – Day 4: Wellness, Service, and Skill Development


The fourth day of the Prajodhana NSS Camp was a perfect blend of health, service, creativity, and self-improvement, reflecting the core values of the National Service Scheme. From an invigorating morning to a fulfilling evening, the day reinforced the spirit of social responsibility and personal growth.


Morning Yoga Session: Energizing the Mind and Body


The day began with a refreshing yoga session, allowing volunteers to connect with their bodies and minds through guided breathing exercises and stretches. The session emphasized the importance of mindfulness, stress management, and overall well-being, setting a positive tone for the day.


Following the yoga session, an assembly was held, where key reflections from previous days were shared. Volunteers discussed their learnings, reinforcing the camp’s goal of collective growth and meaningful impact.


Medical Camp at Keeezthonnaykal: Serving the Community


At 10:00 AM, the volunteers headed to Keeezthonnaykal, the adopted village, for a medical camp organized in collaboration with healthcare professionals. The camp provided free medical checkups, consultations, and awareness sessions, benefiting the local residents. Volunteers actively assisted in organizing the camp, guiding patients, and spreading awareness about health and hygiene.


Paper Bag Making and Distribution: A Step Towards Sustainability


At 2:00 PM, a paper bag making and distribution session was conducted, promoting eco-friendly alternatives to plastic. Volunteers handcrafted biodegradable paper bags and distributed them to local shops and residents, encouraging sustainable practices within the community. The activity highlighted the importance of environmental responsibility and how small initiatives can lead to significant change.


Interpersonal Communication Skills Class by Bismina S


The next session focused on interpersonal communication skills, conducted by Bismina S. Through interactive discussions and engaging activities, the class covered effective listening, verbal and non-verbal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building. Volunteers learned valuable skills that would help them in their social interactions, leadership roles, and personal growth.


Evening Visit to Sneharamam


As part of their ongoing community engagement, the volunteers revisited Sneharamam, continuing to build strong connections with the residents. Conversations, shared experiences, and acts of kindness filled the evening with warmth and meaning.


Cultural Events and Reflection


The night was brought to life with cultural events, where volunteers showcased their talents in music, dance, and storytelling, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. At 9:00 PM, the daily reflection session was held, allowing participants to share their experiences, key learnings, and emotions from the day. The session provided a moment of introspection, reinforcing the impact of their service and personal transformation.


With each passing day, Prajodhana NSS Camp continued to inspire, educate, and uplift its participants, making the journey an unforgettable experience of growth, service, and togetherness.
